1. Temperature
Spring Bao plants are sensitive to both cold and heat. The ideal growth temperature is 15-18°C. Temperatures above 25°C will significantly reduce flower bud development. They are unsuitable for mid-summer sowing, and winter minimum temperature should not fall below 0°C.
2. Humidity
Spring Bao prefers a humid, well-aerated environment and is not particularly demanding regarding humidity levels—approximately 50% is suitable. When planting in pots, avoid letting the soil dry out completely or become waterlogged. Water thoroughly so it penetrates the entire soil mass, but prevent water from accumulating at the bottom of the pot.
3. Fertilizing
During the growth period, apply nitrogen fertilizer daily. During the dormancy period, apply diluted fertilizer 2-3 times, primarily balanced fertilizer. As flowers bloom, reduce fertilizer application, and stop fertilizing entirely after flowers fade.
