I. PLANT CHARACTERISTICS
Bromeliad (Guzmania) is a perennial herbaceous plant with long-lasting, vibrantly colored flowers, long narrow sword-like leaves, easy to grow and care for.
II. GROWING AND CARE TECHNIQUES
1. Temperature & Light
Bromeliad prefers high temperatures, humidity, and semi-shade, so it can be placed permanently in a bright room without worrying about light shortage. In spring and autumn, it can receive some sunlight in the early morning and late afternoon. In summer, avoid direct sunlight. In winter, it can be exposed to sunlight all day.
2. Growing Temperature
Bromeliad prefers a humid, warm environment. The optimal growing temperature is 21–28°C during the day and 18–21°C at night, with a maximum temperature not exceeding 35°C. Excessively high temperatures cause slow growth, leaf discoloration, or plant death.
3. Watering & Humidity
Bromeliad prefers an environment with 75–85% humidity. When humidity drops below 50%, leaves will curl or the plant will bend. When watering, use cool water that has been left to stand for 2–3 days, pouring it directly into the cup-shaped section at the top of the plant, not directly onto the soil.
